The present study aims to analyze the development of number and calculation skills in a group of sequential bilingual children. The study included a sample of 133 bilinguals from the beginning of their second year of primary school to the end of their third year. Results showed that approximate calculation tasks had a significant advantage over writing numbers and multiplication tables. There was also a reduction in the percentage of children with math difficulties.
