BRCA2 and RAD51 are two key proteins involved in the homologous recombination. BRCA2 interacts with RAD51 through eight repetitive sequences known as BRC repeats. While the interaction taking place among the fourth BRC repeat and RAD51 has already been structurally elucidated, it is still unclear how the other BRC repeats interact with RAD51. The purpose of this project is to gain novel structural details on this interaction by co-expressing and co-purifying BRCA2 truncates, containing multiple BRC repeats, and RAD51.

Abstract
BRCA2 and RAD51 are two key proteins involved in the homologous recombination. BRCA2 interacts with RAD51 through eight repetitive sequences known as BRC repeats. While the interaction taking place among the fourth BRC repeat and RAD51 has already been structurally elucidated, it is still unclear how the other BRC repeats interact with RAD51. The purpose of this project is to gain novel structural details on this interaction by co-expressing and co-purifying BRCA2 truncates, containing multiple BRC repeats, and RAD51.File in questo prodotto:
