Soggetti a richio di Disturbo di Sviluppo della Coordinazione. Aspetti emotivi e cognitivi - Subjects at risk for developmental coordination disorder: Emotional and cognitive aspects

The study was directed to an evaluation of intellectual and emotional profiles of children at risk for Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD). The participants were 136 children (aged 6-10 yrs). On the basis of a test for the evaluation of gross-motor abilities (TGM; Ulrich, 1985), two groups of children were identified: «risk for DCD» and controls. Participants were administered an intelligence test (K-BIT; Kaufman and Kaufman, 1990), and self-report questionnaires for the evaluation of anxiety and depression (TAD; Newcomer, Barenbaum and Bryant, 1995; Scala d'ansia per l'età evolutiva; Busnelli, Dall'Aglio and Faina, 1987; CDI; Kovacs, 1992). Results highlight significantly higher levels of anxiety in subjects at risk for DCD.

Lo studio era diretto alla valutazione dei profili intellettivi ed emotivi di un gruppo di soggetti a rischio di Disturbo di Sviluppo della Coordinazione (DSC). Il campione era costituito da 136 partecipanti tra 6 e 10 anni. Sulla base della somministrazione di un test per la valutazione delle abilità grosso-motorie (TGM; Ulrich, 1985) sono stati individuati due gruppi di soggetti: "rischio DSC" e controlli. Ai partecipanti sono stati somministrati un test intellettivo (K-BIT; Kaufman e Kaufman, 1990) e questionari di autovalutazione per la misurazione di ansia e depressione (TAD; Newcomer, Barenbaum e Bryant, 1995; Scala d'ansia per l'età evolutiva; Busnelli, Dall'Aglio e Faina, 1987; CDI; Kovacs, 1992). I risultati evidenziano livelli significativamente superiori di ansia nei soggetti a rischio DSC.
