In this work we show that in treatment and conversion semiotic transformations of a semiotic representation, whose sense derives from a shared practice, brings a change or loss of sense of the mathematical object; the shift from a representation of a mathematical object to another through transformations, on the one hand maintains the meaning of the object itself, but on the other sometimes can change its sense. This is shown in detail through an example, although it is inserted within a wide theoretical framework that takes into account mathematical objects, their meanings and their representations.

Abstract
In this work we show that in treatment and conversion semiotic transformations of a semiotic representation, whose sense derives from a shared practice, brings a change or loss of sense of the mathematical object; the shift from a representation of a mathematical object to another through transformations, on the one hand maintains the meaning of the object itself, but on the other sometimes can change its sense. This is shown in detail through an example, although it is inserted within a wide theoretical framework that takes into account mathematical objects, their meanings and their representations.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
