This work aims at defining the influence of the Engagement Ratio (i.e. the coupling length over the coupling diameter) on the strength of epossidic adhesive with two components. Coupling and decoupling tests have been performed on pin-collar samples manufactured pursuant to the Standard ISO 10123 with specimens made of steel and coupled with four different levels of engagement ratio. The study aims at highlighting if the engagement ratio has a significant effect on the shear strength of the adhesive and, in case, at retrieving the relationship between the engagement ratio and the adhesive strength itself. The obtained results will be used in order to improve the information concerning the strength of the adhesive reported in the glue data-sheet. Moreover, the results will be used as the basis of further investigations performed at different temperatures, on different materials and with specimens joined by press-fit or shrink fit couplings.

Abstract
Moreover, the results will be used as the basis of further investigations performed at different temperatures, on different materials and with specimens joined by press-fit or shrink fit couplings.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
