This study is about new traces of the scene set "under a pouring rain", conceived for Roberto Rossellini's Europa '51. Notably, it is about a picture that portrays Ingrid Bergman with her head covered by the same rain hat worn in several advertising images about that scene, in which the actress walks "in the pouring rain" as she heads towards Giulietta's shack to announce her that she has found her a job. In the photograph published in «Cinema» it is not raining, but Ingrid Bergman still holds a large open umbrella: the same one that protects her from the pouring rain in the aforementioned advertising images.

Abstract
This study is about new traces of the scene set "under a pouring rain", conceived for Roberto Rossellini's Europa '51. Notably, it is about a picture that portrays Ingrid Bergman with her head covered by the same rain hat worn in several advertising images about that scene, in which the actress walks "in the pouring rain" as she heads towards Giulietta's shack to announce her that she has found her a job. In the photograph published in «Cinema» it is not raining, but Ingrid Bergman still holds a large open umbrella: the same one that protects her from the pouring rain in the aforementioned advertising images.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
