Starting from the topics addressed by Roberto Rossellini during the round table dedicated to the theme "Cinema and understanding of different cultures", in September 1959, this essay relates them to the moment of his career that the Italian director is experiencing, in order to demonstrate that Rossellini not only is not anchored to his professional past, but he is not even tied to his present. On the contrary, he is projecting himself towards a future of new experimentations.
