This essay aims at investigating the style of the short texts of the Italian artist Luigi Ghirri (1943 – 1992), one of the most important photographers of the last century. The writings (introduction to his works or sometimes to that of his colleagues) show a style (for Ghirri style means an ethical approach to the world) that reproduces in the written page the sober and essential style of his photographs.
