In the academic year 2021/22, the University of Bologna has activated, on an explorative basis, an innovative ongoing guidance intervention aimed at the first-year students and the relative Courses of Studies (CDS) Boards. Inspired by the Dublin descriptor relating to learning skills, the intervention included, among other activities, the administration of the Perception Questionnaire on Strategic Competences (QPCS) to 876 first-year students enrolled in 13 CDS. The questionnaire results were returned in an individualized form to the students and then used to plan the activation of laboratories to support the development of learning strategies. Comparing the deflation index of the QPCS factors among the CdS endorsed the proposal to continue the implementation of interventions on learning strategies in a transversal way to the different CDSs. Finally, we helpfully elaborated on results to be used within the decision-making process regarding the opportunity to redesign the laboratories and the characteristics to be given to them concerning the different CDS.
