The authors report 5 patients with partial epilepsy characterized by infrequent epileptic seizures, subcontinuous and continuous bilateral frontal spike-waves and neuropsychological disturbances. Four patients had clinical and EEG improvement after an average of 3 months with VPA and ESM, one, treated with CBZ, presented an improved EEG but a lowered IQ after 3 years and 8 months. The authors consider this epilepsy part of the benign frontal epilepsy group and they discuss the good response to treatment with VPA and ESM.

Abstract
The authors report 5 patients with partial epilepsy characterized by infrequent epileptic seizures, subcontinuous and continuous bilateral frontal spike-waves and neuropsychological disturbances. Four patients had clinical and EEG improvement after an average of 3 months with VPA and ESM, one, treated with CBZ, presented an improved EEG but a lowered IQ after 3 years and 8 months. The authors consider this epilepsy part of the benign frontal epilepsy group and they discuss the good response to treatment with VPA and ESM.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
