In vitro studies concerning the effects of products of different origin, such as Alginate, Armicarb 100, Sodium bicarbonate, Micoplan, Mycostop, Microsil 500 as well as Bordeax mixture and Topas, fungicides currently used in agriculture, on mycelial growth, germination, conidial production and hyphal modifications of Alternaria alternata and Cladosporium fulvum, were performed. At field dosage, Armicarb 100, Microsil 500, Micoplan and Topas showed mycelial growth inhibition on both fungi, provoking also hyphal morphological alterations, as observed at scanning electron microscope. Armicarb 100 and Microsil 500 showed inhibition of conidial germination in A. alternata whereas on C. fulvum only Armicarb 100 was effective. On A. alternata, only Armicarb 100 and Microsil 500 showed inhibition of conidial production whereas on C. fulvum the tested products were ineffective.
