This paper describes the results of a questionnaire given to the students of the schools of Emilia-Romagna who participated in the Banca d’Italia-Miur project in the field of economic and financial education. The results show an important increase in the knowledge of students following a 10-hour course held to school teachers by teachers of the Bank of Italy. In particular, between the pre- and post- teaching activities carried out by their teachers in the classroom, students have increased the number of correct answers by about 5 units in a questionnaire of 30 questions and compared to the improvement obtained by a group of students not interested in the teaching activity related to the course of the Bank of Italy. The results are robust to a set of controls suggested by the literature on the subject.
