Issue 26 of The Interpreters’ Newsletter is devoted to specific communicative contexts and phenomena observed in dialogue interpreting (DI) through specific, still under-explored, analytical lenses. In this bilingual introduction, the Guest editors take stock of the methodological and thematic richness of DI research. They illustrate the dynamism and innovativeness of the field by providing an overview of the topics, as well as of the main methods of data collection and analysis used in sign and spoken language interpreting. Some promising research directions are also outlined.
