‘HIBRIDACIÓN’ EN LA INTERPRETACIÓN PARA ESCUCHAS TELEFÓNICAS: Apuntes sobre las técnicas utilizadas en su procedimiento genérico / ‘HYBRIDISATION’ IN WIRETAP INTERPRETING: Notes on the techniques used in its main procedures

Wiretap interpreting is a component of police and legal interpreting, a widely studied setting with an extensive and rich scientific production. However, the specific component of wiretap interpreting is still relatively unknown, as there are very few specific studies on this interpreting mode. The aim of this work is that of providing a description of the generic phases and procedures involved in such a heterogeneous type of interpreting, emphasising the hybridisation of the techniques used. To do so, we will depart from a professional experience in this specific field (interpreter for the Polizia di Stato, Divisione Anticrimine), with Italian and Spanish as working languages.
