A quantitative risk assessment model was developed in which the the risk of heapatocarcinoma induced by exposure to aflatoxin with milk is estimated. Contamination data of milk obtained by sampling the raw milk in a local plant of a nationally relevant local industry in the last three years. Mixing of milk was simulated by accounting correlation between level of aflatoxin and weight of milk consignments. The regional data of milk consumption at different ages was used to assess exposure, and in addition with those of body weight and prevalence of Hepatitis B carries were used to characterize the risk. Thed mean annual cumulative risk based on a life exposure was estimated to be 6.39 * 10E-5 additional cases per year per 100,000 individuals exposed.
