Following the implementation of the European Technological Platform Food for Life on the prospective to participate to the VII FWP, the potential of the multidisciplinary competences of different research groups acting at the University of Bologna was mapped. ALMAFOOD IRT is a multidisciplinary group of professors and researchers of the University of Bologna collaborating within the agro-food sector. The group involves more than 120 researchers from 18 different Departments. ALMAFOOD IRT is aimed at integrating the University of Bologna complementary skills and expertises in the agro-food value chain, cross-cutting various interconnected sectors such as agriculture, food industry, environment and health.
