The Liber Glossarum contains a number of entries arising from the De haeresibus, an anonymous haeresiological treatise that is preserved by the so-called Codex Ovetensis (El Escorial, R.II.18) and that, according to A.C. Vega, should be attributed to Isidore of Seville. Since all of these entries, apart from one, are linked – either explicitly or implicitly – to Isidore, the Liber Glossarum appears to provide important support for Vega’s attribution. A possible link between the De haeresibus and Isidore can perhaps also be found in an epistle of Elipando of Toledo to Alcuin, written in 798 AD.

Abstract
The Liber Glossarum contains a number of entries arising from the De haeresibus, an anonymous haeresiological treatise that is preserved by the so-called Codex Ovetensis (El Escorial, R.II.18) and that, according to A.C. Vega, should be attributed to Isidore of Seville. Since all of these entries, apart from one, are linked – either explicitly or implicitly – to Isidore, the Liber Glossarum appears to provide important support for Vega’s attribution. A possible link between the De haeresibus and Isidore can perhaps also be found in an epistle of Elipando of Toledo to Alcuin, written in 798 AD.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
