The idea of this article is to describe the poetics of «riso» of Dante’s Divine Comedy. The lexical units like «laughter» and «smile» do repeat several times, more often in the Paradiso. We tend to emphasise the laughter being one of the key points of the poem inside which the most important topics like friendship, love, prayer, finding and endowment of the celestial grace do develop. On another side the forms of laughter in the Comedy do never have the negative connotations, the laughter very seldom would mean the ridicule but the expression of the happiness. The analysis of the explanatory dictionaries shows the evidence of Dante’s vision of laughter in the italian language culture as the positive one. In our work we tend to reserch the roots of this tradition describing the concept of the laughter developed in the major italian literary work.

Abstract
In our work we tend to reserch the roots of this tradition describing the concept of the laughter developed in the major italian literary work.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
