The developments of artificial intelligence show an oscillatory course among different points of attraction. The history of this disciplinary field has had a peculiar way of telling by opposing paradigms or antithetical approaches. Such a historical perspective has had a theoretical influence too, despite reconstructions based on methodological and epistemological all-embracing principles, such as the synthetic method. In this paper, I address an evaluation of artificial intelligence history of science and make a comparison with the developments of synthetic biology to find the points of contact with artificial intelligence and its “synthetic” aspects.

Abstract: | The developments of artificial intelligence show an oscillatory course among different points of attraction. |
