This contribution presents and compares various methods to calculate roof anchorage forces in cold formed roof systems made by purlins covered with metal sheeting. The evaluation of anchorage forces is pursued aiming at designing purlin-sheeting connection and support detailing. It is shown that a deep understanding of these aspects can be achieved with a simplified structural model of the whole roof system. A comparison with other available approaches is carried out.

Abstract
This contribution presents and compares various methods to calculate roof anchorage forces in cold formed roof systems made by purlins covered with metal sheeting. The evaluation of anchorage forces is pursued aiming at designing purlin-sheeting connection and support detailing. It is shown that a deep understanding of these aspects can be achieved with a simplified structural model of the whole roof system. A comparison with other available approaches is carried out.File in questo prodotto:
