This paper aims at pointing out the great importance of ‘analogy’ in Origen’s works. As a matter of fact, analogy is very often used – both in the commentaries and in the homilies – to link together biblical texts of the Old and the New Testament; so, it provides an extraordinary tool, whose sources would quite possibly be identified with contemporary Hellenistic-Roman as well as Jewish exegesis.

Abstract
This paper aims at pointing out the great importance of ‘analogy’ in Origen’s works.
