This paper summarises the results of investigations carried out by the project directed by S. Tusa at the Bronze Age settlement of Mursia (Pantelleria), with the support of the University of Bologna (sector B) and University Suor Orsola Benincasa of Naples (sector D). The main focus is on the chronology and construction dynamics of the settlement. In particular the documentation of sector B is presented: during the later phases of the Early Bronze Age by means of a true project of building planning a series of oval elongated sunken huts were located in several parallel rows. Afterwards most of the huts were involved in structural changes such as the mere remaking of floors, the abandonment of the structure or a different reorganisation of space with new features. The sequence ends with a reorganisation of the settlement marked by a later planning scheme made of large oval huts with floor levels on the surface. The paper is as well a general consideration of material culture as marker of interactions within the Central Mediterranean.

Abstract
The paper is as well a general consideration of material culture as marker of interactions within the Central Mediterranean.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
