The aim of this study is to provide an efficient use of otolith morphology in order to discriminate which potential parameter affects shape variability within species. Combined geometric morphometrics and EF analyses identify the latitudinal gradient as one of the parameter that discriminated European anchovy otolith shapes from two areas in Adriatic Sea (North and middle sector).

Abstract
The aim of this study is to provide an efficient use of otolith morphology in order to discriminate which potential parameter affects shape variability within species. Combined geometric morphometrics and EF analyses identify the latitudinal gradient as one of the parameter that discriminated European anchovy otolith shapes from two areas in Adriatic Sea (North and middle sector).File in questo prodotto:
