The great importance of the newly discovered collection of Origenian Homilies on Psalms can be summarized as follows: 1) until the discovery of Cod. Gr. 314, we did not held any Origen’s homily (neither Homilies on Jeremiah, nor the homilies translated to Latin by Rufinus and Jerome) containing such an amount of scholiographic material, as results from the examples given in this paper; 2) the setting out of an exegesis ‘without aberrations’ confirms and extends what we know from other Origenian works containing the same topic (e.g. Prin IV 3,1ff., about the ‘obscurities’ of the Bible).

Abstract
The great importance of the newly discovered collection of Origenian Homilies on Psalms can be summarized as follows: 1) until the discovery of Cod. Gr. 314, we did not held any Origen’s homily (neither Homilies on Jeremiah, nor the homilies translated to Latin by Rufinus and Jerome) containing such an amount of scholiographic material, as results from the examples given in this paper; 2) the setting out of an exegesis ‘without aberrations’ confirms and extends what we know from other Origenian works containing the same topic (e.g. Prin IV 3,1ff., about the ‘obscurities’ of the Bible).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
