This report explores the interactions between economic development, the evolution of food systems and malnutrition in European and Central Asian (ECA) countries. It focuses on existing and potential agricultural and food policy measures to tackle malnutrition and mitigate its social and economic burden. Three dimensions of malnutrition are considered: undernutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, and overnutrition.
