Abstract

The comparison of feed requirements of our livestock production on one side and the availability at the national, european and international levels of non-GM feed on the other side, indicates that GMO free diets for the production of typical food products can be reallistically implemented only with a cereal-based feed but not with vegetable proteins, particulary if derived from soybean.
