Buildings constructions with wood structural panels have generally good acoustic performances due to multilayer panels also used for thermal purpose; however the evaluation method proposed by the EN 12354 standards not always gives exact predictions due to intrinsic limits of the simplified method. In this paper results of in situ acoustic performances of a new building construction with wood structural panels (12-16 cm thick) are analysed. High levels of airborne and impact sound insulation performances of floors are measured and an analysis of the influence of different layers covering the structural floor panel is presented. Flanking transmission paths due to different junctions between floors and lateral walls are also investigated in order to compare measured and calculated values according to European standard.

Abstract
Buildings constructions with wood structural panels have generally good acoustic performances due to multilayer panels also used for thermal purpose; however the evaluation method proposed by the EN 12354 standards not always gives exact predictions due to intrinsic limits of the simplified method. In this paper results of in situ acoustic performances of a new building construction with wood structural panels (12-16 cm thick) are analysed. High levels of airborne and impact sound insulation performances of floors are measured and an analysis of the influence of different layers covering the structural floor panel is presented. Flanking transmission paths due to different junctions between floors and lateral walls are also investigated in order to compare measured and calculated values according to European standard.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
