The article examines some computer models of analogy making in the frame of the subcognitive approach to simulation of mind capabilities. Such an approach is suggested by Douglas Hofstadter and his research group on analogy as a cognitive process. My aim is to discuss some philosophical ideas on the background of this simulative approach and underline the contacts between epistemology, philosophy of language and cognitive science on such a specific subject.

Abstract
The article examines some computer models of analogy making in the frame of the subcognitive approach to simulation of mind capabilities. Such an approach is suggested by Douglas Hofstadter and his research group on analogy as a cognitive process. My aim is to discuss some philosophical ideas on the background of this simulative approach and underline the contacts between epistemology, philosophy of language and cognitive science on such a specific subject.File in questo prodotto:
