Stereo vision aims at inferring 3D information from two images of the same scene simultaneously acquired from two different viewpoints. Due to the large number of application scenarios that can take advantage of 3D information, this topic received a lot of attentions in the last decades. In this paper we’ll focus our attention on recent local state of the art algorithms that adapttheir supports to image content discussing their accuracy and performance.
