Abstract
The functionalist perspective sustains that mental states have been computationalized and this paradigm supports a series of hypotheses in the sphere of cognitive neuroscience, where the union between science and philosophy favours a radical mechanistic vision of the mind. The limits of this philosophical approach are analyzed here by means of rigorous paradigms which are at the base of scientific research. The consequence of the premises of this current philosophical vision of the mind, which departs from the identification of mind-brain, disregards the fact that the results now understood in neuroscience are “in fieri” and far away from constructing the certain base of any theory which can be considered in the scientific field.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
