This article reports on five group interventions with adopted children aged 6-10 years at two Family Centres in Emilia-Romagna between 2021 and 2024. The interventions aimed to provide a secure environment for children to explore their adoption experiences through play, artistic expression, and peer interaction. Involving 29 participants, the sessions focused on fostering peer connections, reducing isolation, and helping children process adoption-related emotions. Creative activities promoted self-reflection and meaningful exchange. Feedback from participants and families showed positive outcomes, including increased emotional resilience, and understanding. The study suggests the effectiveness of group interventions in supporting adopted children’s emotional and social well-being and offers a replicable framework for adoption-focused support within community-based family services.
