Dai racconti visionari di Avicenna alle epopee mistiche dei poeti persiani Sanā’i e ‘Attār

The article aims at investigating some lines of continuity between the Avicennian speculation that emerges through the famous récits visionnaires of the great Iranian philosopher - carefully studied in his time by Henry Corbin - and the allegorical tales contained in the poems (mathnavi) of two of the most representative Persian poets of Sufi inspiration, i.e. the Mantiq al-Tayr (The Language/Logic of the Birds) by Farid al-din ‘Attār of Neyshāpur and the Sayr al-‘Ibād ilà l-Ma‘ād (The Journey of the Servants [of God] in the Kingdom of Return) by Hakim Sanā’i of Ghazna.

L’articolo si propone di indagare alcune linee di continuità tra le speculazione avicenniana che emerge attraverso i celebri récits visionnaires del grande filosofo iranico – attentamente studiati a suo tempo da Henry Corbin – e i racconti allegorici contenuti nei poemi (mathnavi) di due tra i più rappresentativi poeti persiani d’ispirazione sufi, ossia il Mantiq al-Tayr (Il verbo degli Uccelli) di Farid al-din ‘Attār di Neyshāpur e il Sayr al-‘Ibād ilà l-Ma‘ād (Il Viaggio dei Servi [di Dio] nel Regno del Ritorno) di Hakim Sanā’i di Ghazna.
