The purpose of this report was to describe the diagnostic protocol, treatment and outcome of an 11-year-old, entire male, mixed-breed dog with a gall bladder neoplasia histologically consistent with a leiomyoma. On referral, the patient had no clinical signs related to the gall bladder mass. The detection of the mass was an incidental finding during the staging for an interdigital mass consistent with a mast cell tumour. Elevations in liver enzyme activities, as well as cholesterol and triglycerides, were supportive of cholestasis. Cholecystectomy was ultimately performed 2 months after diagnosis, and histology confirmed a leiomyoma of the gall bladder. Nineteen months after the cholecystectomy, the dog was alive and in good clinical condition.

Abstract
Nineteen months after the cholecystectomy, the dog was alive and in good clinical condition.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
