This chapter explores the relationship between outdoor education, well-being and digital technology in relation to pedagogical and psychological approaches to teaching. To this end, it introduces some reflections on two issues: first, the role of technology in human development (both generally and digitally) and, second, the significant contribution of outdoor activities as ‘well-being techniques’. In this chapter, space is devoted to framing ‘well-being’ from a psychological perspective, which is a multidimensional construct. Particular attention is given to contextualize well- being as a general state of emotional, physical and psychological balance, which is in constant interaction with multiple environmental variables (socio-cultural, political factors, physical).

Abstract
This chapter explores the relationship between outdoor education, well-being and digital technology in relation to pedagogical and psychological approaches to teaching. To this end, it introduces some reflections on two issues: first, the role of technology in human development (both generally and digitally) and, second, the significant contribution of outdoor activities as ‘well-being techniques’. In this chapter, space is devoted to framing ‘well-being’ from a psychological perspective, which is a multidimensional construct. Particular attention is given to contextualize well- being as a general state of emotional, physical and psychological balance, which is in constant interaction with multiple environmental variables (socio-cultural, political factors, physical).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
