In this work, we show that one can improve the performance of C/C+L Optical Networks by adopting a single all-optical wideband wavelength converter per connection along with the Route Segmentation technique. Our results show that such an approach can achieve a performance similar to using an unlimited number of optical-electrical-optical wavelength converters. Furthermore, our results show that the proposed strategy can substantially increase the network throughput.

Abstract
In this work, we show that one can improve the performance of C/C+L Optical Networks by adopting a single all-optical wideband wavelength converter per connection along with the Route Segmentation technique. Our results show that such an approach can achieve a performance similar to using an unlimited number of optical-electrical-optical wavelength converters. Furthermore, our results show that the proposed strategy can substantially increase the network throughput.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
