Analisi carpologica nel sito di Monterenzio Vecchio (BO): uno sguardo all’economia di sussistenza negli insediamenti di altura dell’Appennino Emiliano Romagnolo nell’età del Bronzo.

The results of the carpological analysis of the sediment samples taken during the excavation in 2011 of Monterenzio Vecchio (BO) are the continuation of the studies related to the stratigraphic units exposed in the first years of excavation. The data show the set of cultivated plants and those collected, between the tradition of Neolithic origin and innovations of techniques and crops typical of the Bronze Age. This study provides an important contribution to the reconstruction of the mountain economy of the Emiliano-Romagnolo Apennines because the archaeological and bioarchaeological knowledge is scarce and dated. In addition, comparison with plain sites will allow to highlight similarities and differences emphasizing, possibly, exchanges and connections.
