The multiplication of screens ensures some equivalence and a paradigmatic competition between previously conflicting actantial roles (for instance, “television watcher” and “data miner”). But could a counterculture arise in order to contest and throwing into question practical goals and ethical issues concerning multi-screen communication ? We would give the example of a recent multimedia work, Kiss & Cry (directed by Jaco Van Dormael), that seeks to resist the dominant finalization of all semiotic products for the screen. So, this show tries to reinscribe cinema in the theatrical space. Multiple constructions of different expression planes can coexist, compete and trigger mutual remediation ; this is what Kiss & Cry try to demonstrate promoting a poetic challenge. The exhibition of mediations in real time doesn’t take the original magic away from the technological media ; on the contrary, that gives it the chance for a renewal.

Abstract
The exhibition of mediations in real time doesn’t take the original magic away from the technological media ; on the contrary, that gives it the chance for a renewal.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
