The effects of high energy (HE) and low energy (LE) neutron irradiation on CdTe and CdZnTe high resistivity detector grade materials were studied. The defects states induced by neutron irradiation were characterized by photoinduced current transient spectroscopy (PICTS) analyses. The different damage induced by LE and HE neutron bombardment was highlighted confirming that the crystal lattice was severely affected by HE neutrons.

Abstract
The effects of high energy (HE) and low energy (LE) neutron irradiation on CdTe and CdZnTe high resistivity detector grade materials were studied. The defects states induced by neutron irradiation were characterized by photoinduced current transient spectroscopy (PICTS) analyses. The different damage induced by LE and HE neutron bombardment was highlighted confirming that the crystal lattice was severely affected by HE neutrons.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
