Although cardiovascular involvement is not included in the American College of Rheumatology diagnostic criteria, its frequency in CSS has been reported in as many as 55% of the pediatric patients and may be associated with fatal outcome. Our case suggests that myocardial disease associated with hypereosinophilia should raise the suspicion of Churg Strauss Syndrome (CSS), even in the absence of anti-neutrophilic cytoplasmic antibodies.

Abstract
Although cardiovascular involvement is not included in the American College of Rheumatology diagnostic criteria, its frequency in CSS has been reported in as many as 55% of the pediatric patients and may be associated with fatal outcome. Our case suggests that myocardial disease associated with hypereosinophilia should raise the suspicion of Churg Strauss Syndrome (CSS), even in the absence of anti-neutrophilic cytoplasmic antibodies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
