In the Bologna archive of the criminal court, Tribunale del Torrone, housed in the local State Archive, there are some papers involving Bolognese booksellers dated 1564, one year after the opening of the Archiginnasio, which offer an opportunity to observe the local booktrade in the second half of the 16th century. In particular, we will focus on Vincenzo Sopranini, who bought with his brother Ascanio a bottega «sotto le scuole» («under the schools») from Alberto Amici and then added to the commercial activity a small editorial production.

Abstract
In the Bologna archive of the criminal court, Tribunale del Torrone, housed in the local State Archive, there are some papers involving Bolognese booksellers dated 1564, one year after the opening of the Archiginnasio, which offer an opportunity to observe the local booktrade in the second half of the 16th century. In particular, we will focus on Vincenzo Sopranini, who bought with his brother Ascanio a bottega «sotto le scuole» («under the schools») from Alberto Amici and then added to the commercial activity a small editorial production.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
