This paper aims at analysing the figure of Claudia Livia Julia, daughter of Drusus Major and Antonia Minor, wife of Caius Caesar and Drusus Minor, in relation to the political events of the Tiberian court. The main source is Tacitus, whose lexicon used to describe the noblewoman is analysed, especially in relation to her role in the conspiracy of the praetorian prefect Lucius Aelius Sejanus
