The aim of this article is to highlight the relationship between labor and politics in the work of the French philosopher Simone Weil. To this end, in the first part of the text I will analyze the philosophical roots of Weil’s reflection on labor; second, I will delve into the critique of alienated labor in contemporary industry; finally, I will examine the synthesis between manual and intellectual labor that the author seeks in the notion of attention. In this way, I will show how this last aspect, one of the most original features of Weil’s reflection, allows her work to continue an effective dialogue with contemporary political thought.

In this way, I will show how this last aspect, one of the most original features of Weil’s reflection, allows her work to continue an effective dialogue with contemporary political thought.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
