The analysis focuses on his philological method and unconventional topics of research, and in particular on translations from Latin and Greek. The Appendices contain a bibliography of Mariotti’s writings and an Errata corrige to his 1995 edition of the fragments of Lucilius, which the author had annotated in a copy now in the Raimondi Library of the University of Bologna.
