Abstract
The euchological form of the Hesiodic incipit of the Works & Days may imply a different performative contextualisation from that of the Homeric poems, the Homeric Hymns, and the beginning of the Theogony. Instead of a Panhellenic festive assembly, it is possible to postulate an epichoric procession in honour of Zeus and the Muses, performed by the peasant community of Ascra.File in questo prodotto:
