The laboratory’s direction has focused on a dialectical and critical approach to understanding space, while aiming to transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries. The thematic modules that structured our discussions addressed several core topics: the city as a space of transformation and assertion, explored through the dialectics of public and private space; the ongoing global crisis and its manifestations within urban environments; and the subjects that inhabit, shape, and emerge within the city in times of crisis. Our discussions also covered topics such as migration, mobility, identity politics, and processes of subject formation, as well as the concepts of class, nation, and gender.
