This study examines the management of the voltage limits in the control of dual-three-phase permanent magnet drives. The research is centered on two main control methods. The first method involves the design of independent controllers to manage individual three-phase modules. The second method utilizes all controllers to optimize the tracking of the six reference currents simultaneously. Both strategies aim to optimize the use of the available DC-link voltage in each three-phase inverter while taking into account the full hexagonal limitation of the voltage vectors. Different algorithms and the main governing equations are presented. Simulations in Matlab/Simulink, which reproduce the behavior a dual-three-phase permanent magnet motor, show the differences for the developed techniques in the distortion of the phase current.

Abstract
This study examines the management of the voltage limits in the control of dual-three-phase permanent magnet drives. The research is centered on two main control methods. The first method involves the design of independent controllers to manage individual three-phase modules. The second method utilizes all controllers to optimize the tracking of the six reference currents simultaneously. Both strategies aim to optimize the use of the available DC-link voltage in each three-phase inverter while taking into account the full hexagonal limitation of the voltage vectors. Different algorithms and the main governing equations are presented. Simulations in Matlab/Simulink, which reproduce the behavior a dual-three-phase permanent magnet motor, show the differences for the developed techniques in the distortion of the phase current.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
