The global ecosystem of design knowledge is influenced by ethnocentrism and Western monopolies. The scientific publishing system reflects geographical disparities in the field of design, favoring a Eurocentric/ Nordic representation at the expense of emerging "margins" and "peripheries." The ongoing research was funded by an inter-academic collaboration recently established within a research group in the framework of the Italian Design Society. This group proposes more inclusive leadership models for design publications, promoting a pluriversal and multipolar vision of the geopolitics of knowledge. The focus is on the biodiversity of design "cultures" and new interdisciplinary modes of publication, transcending rigid boundaries between hard and soft sciences. The goal is to encourage knowledge exchange among system actors, reconsider paradigms of publication impact and excellence, and envision new workflows and approaches to accessing scientific production. The expected impacts include social inclusion, cultural dimension, and the development of guidelines for innovative editorial models.

Abstract
The expected impacts include social inclusion, cultural dimension, and the development of guidelines for innovative editorial models.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
