This article presents a comparative study of the figure of Antigone in the works of Simone Weil and María Zambrano in order to highlight the theoretical-political framework that emerges from their interpretations. Thus, it is possible to observe not only convergences and discontinuities in their read-ings, but also the common search, through an original interpene-tration between mysticism and politics, for a broadening of the se-mantic spectrum of politics, which culminates in the valorization of the ecstatic passion of love.

Abstract

This article presents a comparative study of the figure of Antigone in the works of Simone Weil and María Zambrano in order to highlight the theoretical-political framework that emerges from their interpretations. Thus, it is possible to observe not only convergences and discontinuities in their read-ings, but also the common search, through an original interpene-tration between mysticism and politics, for a broadening of the se-mantic spectrum of politics, which culminates in the valorization of the ecstatic passion of love.
