The paper presents a review of the state of the art about uncertainty assessment in hydrology. We focus on uncertainty of the output from hydrological models. Techniques for dealing with other uncertainties, like data and parameter uncertainty, are only briefly mentioned. Finally, we propose a summary and a classification of the most used methods.
