In recent years, many industrial applications require compact and reliable power systems especially for electronic and sensor applications. All this, has led the scientific world to continue the research in the development of such devices as a real challenge. Among them, the symmetrical supercapacitors (SCs) have found much evidence thanks to their high energy density and rapid discharge capabilities. In order to avoid all the issues of tradictional SCs as leaching, toxicity of electrolytes and inflexibility, in this work, multi-layer SCs have been developed combining physical PVA hydrogel layers. A conductive polymer has been introduced into the elecrodes’ hydrogel matrice in order to confer electrochemical properties to the devices realized. Their morfology, flexibility and electrochemical performances have been investigated.
